Day 2: Building Real Applications
Yesterday you learned the patterns. How LLMs like to receive instructions. How to structure system prompts that survive more than one session. How to think about project management when your primary interface to the codebase is natural language. Today you stop studying the patterns and start building things with them.
Each lesson in Day 2 is a build. Not a tutorial where you copy code from a page. A guided build where you describe what you want in plain English, watch the agent produce it, and learn the specific techniques that make each type of application work. By the end of today you will have built two real applications: a web app from a paragraph and an API integration that handles real external services.
The theme is the same: you describe the outcome, the agent builds the implementation, and you learn what to describe differently next time. The skills are cumulative.
What you will cover
- Web Apps from Natural Language -- build a complete web application by describing it. Scaffold, landing page, interactivity, styling, deployment. Real prompts, real outcomes, step by step.
- Working with APIs & External Services -- connect your app to external APIs through vibe coding. Describe the integration, let the agent handle auth, error handling, and response parsing.
By the end of today you will have a working mental model for turning natural language descriptions into applications that do real work. The remaining days of the course are about making those applications reliable, secure, and ready for other people to use.
