Vibe Coding — From Natural Language to Production
Vibe coding is not a shortcut. It is the recognition that natural language has become a legitimate, first-class interface to a codebase — as direct as a terminal, as precise as a type system when you know the patterns, and fast enough that the distance between "I have an idea" and "it's running in production" collapses from weeks to hours.
This course teaches you to build real, working applications by describing what you want in plain English. Not prototypes. Not demos. Working software that ships. The five days cover the full arc: how to describe things so the agent gets it right, how to design systems that stay coherent across dozens of prompts, how to manage projects when the code is being written by an AI, and how to ship to production without losing control.
Prerequisites
You need a machine with a terminal and Claude Code installed. The Your Vibe Coding Toolkit lesson walks through setup. If you are new to the terminal or git, start with Practical Fundamentals first — this course assumes you can navigate a project directory, run commands, and write a basic prompt.
Course structure
Day 1 — The Vibe Coding Workflow starts with what vibe coding actually looks like — real scenarios, real outcomes. Then the foundations: how systems design and project management translate to this new workflow, how LLMs like to code and what patterns produce consistent output, setting up your toolkit, and prompting patterns that keep the agent aligned across multiple sessions.
Day 2 — Building Real Applications puts the workflow into practice. You will build web apps and wire up APIs and external services — real applications built through natural language.
Day 3 — Tool-Centric Development covers the tools and patterns that turn a single prompt into a reliable development system. Agent memory so your project remembers context across sessions. Custom slash commands and CLAUDE.md for project management. Spec-driven development — how to write specs an agent actually follows. Multi-file project architecture that survives growth.
Day 4 — Systems Design & Project Management is the day most vibe coding courses skip. How to design systems when the implementation is generated. Breaking work into bite-sized pieces an agent can execute reliably. Git workflows and version control when the commits are AI-authored.
Day 5 — Coming soon — shipping, production deployment, environment configuration, monitoring and debugging, and the final build. These lessons are still being written and will be published as they are completed.
Final build
The final build will be the application you have been building across all five days — started from a description, designed with systems thinking, managed through project discipline, and shipped to production. The Day 5 lessons covering deployment, secrets, monitoring, and the final build walkthrough are in progress.
